FIRST DAY: CUSCO - KM. 82 - HUALLABAMBA

Our tour guide will pick us up from our hotel at 6:30 a.m., to head for KM. 82, place where we’ll start the trek to the INKA TRAIL to MACHUPICCHU. After three hours, we’ll stop to have lunch, then after a short rest we’ll continue trekking direct to our first base camp, in the location of Huallabamba. In the middle of the trek we’ll visit the LLACTAPATA Inca ruins. Inka Trail Dinner and overnight. Inka Trail, Tours Machu Picchu

SECOND DAY : HUALLABAMBA - WARMIWAÑUSACA - PACAYMAYO

After an early breakfast, we’ll start the most difficult and demanding part of the journey, with a craggy hill, followed by another three hours of trekking, to reach the first pass called WARMIWAÑUSACA, which means “dead woman”, at an altitude of 4,200 masl. At this point we’ll be able to admire an stunning landscape and beautiful views of the whole area. You’ll feel on the top of the world. After lunch we’ll go down to PACAYAMAYO, place where we’ll install our base camp. Inca Trail. Dinner and overnight. Inka Trail, Tours Machu Picchu

THIRD DAY : PACAYMAYO - PHUYU PATAMARCA - WIÑAY WAYNA

After an early breakfast, we’ll begin to go down to the second pass at an altitude of 3,800 meters msl, in a location near the Inca ruins of RUNKURAKAY and the Inca citadel of SAYACMARCA, guided visit on the ruins. After the visit we’ll continue our trek to the location of PHUYU PATAMARCA, also called “town on clouds”. After visiting the archaeological complex, we’ll stop to have lunch. After resting for a while we’ll continue our journey to Machipicchu. Inka Trail, Tours Machu Picchu

We’ll start our walk through beautiful landscapes, to reach WIÑAY WAYNA, that in quechua means “forever young”. Then we’ll admire this incredible Inca construction. After we’ll install the base camp to settle for the night and have dinner. Inka Trail, Tours Machu Picchu

FOURTH DAY : WIÑAY WAYNA - MACHUPICCHU - CUSCO

After an early breakfast we’ll walk (1 hour) through the woods to the INTIPUNKU, also called The Sun Gateway. This location is also known as the entrance door of Machupicchu, from here we’ll have one of the most beautiful views of the entire citadel. Arriving to Machupicchu, we’ll have a guided visit (with a professional bilingual tour guide), including the stone solar watch, the three windows temple, the temple of the condor, sacred bird to the Incas. After that we’ll have time free to spend visiting the citadel by ourselves or rest. Inka Trail, Tours Machu Picchu

After, we’ll meet at the Sanctuary Lodge coffee shop, near the entrance, in order to take the bus back to Aguas Calientes. We’ll have lunch in a typical restaurant. In the afternoon we’ll return to Cusco. Inka Trail, Tours Machu Picchu
